D. R. E. A. M.
The D stands for desire.
You have to have a burning desire. You have to want it more than somebody else does because if you don’t, they will achieve what you want, and you may not. Your dreams are going to pass you by, and they’re going to achieve the entrepreneurial dreams you desire most.
You have to wake up every day knowing that you’re here to do something, and you’re willing to do what it takes, even if it scares you or makes you uncomfortable.
The R stands for receiving help from others.
We know what we know and don’t know what we don’t know. That is why you want to make sure that you are open to receiving help from others and that you ask for help when you need it.
I’m successful in my business because I knew early on that I didn’t know everything. And I needed coaches, mentors, training, tips, and strategies to succeed in filling in the gaps of information that I didn’t have.
The E stands for Effective.
You want to do things that are effective, things that work, and you want to avoid actions that are ineffective. If you’re implementing a strategy and it’s effective, do it over again.
If you’re implementing an ineffective strategy, don’t do it.
- Learn from your mistakes.
- Create a different strategy.
- Uplevel what you’re currently doing, rather than looking at something as good or bad.
- Look at it as effective versus ineffective.
- Do what’s effective and replace things that are ineffective.
The A stands for Authentic.
People want to deal with people who are authentic. They want to know that your heart is in the right place.
So, if you’re looking to create more clients and to grow your business and/or to generate more business partners, people want to know that you are being real.
- So be authentic.
- Be yourself, but be the best person version of you possible.
Because if you’re trying to act like somebody else, people will know quickly that that is not authentic. The radars will go off in their head, saying something’s not right about this person. So be you. Be the best version of yourself.
M stands for making it happen.
You can’t sit back on your laurels and hope that something’s going to happen. You might have to reassess your plan. You might have to assess what you’re currently doing because your heart is telling you something isn’t right.
You have to have the willingness to make it happen, to go after your dreams. Many people have entrepreneurial dreams, and their dreams die inside of them because they never make it happen. Now is the time to make it happen with intention, clarity, vision, and heart.
Remember what DREAM stands for and use the D.R.E.A.M as the 5 characteristics you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset that helps you overcome anything.
