# 1 – You can’t dive into offering a special program, product or service without building a relationship first. Otherwise, women will feel like you are motivated by how quickly you can close the deal. Even when it comes to speaking most women need a little romance. They want to know why you are passionate about what you do and how you are emotionally committed to helping achieve the results they want.
# 2 – You have to realize women notice everything from the little “feel good” extras you provided, to the cluttered and disorganized sales tables, to how you are dressed. Those types of things are something I take very seriously. My event staff know that it is super important to me that the entire event space is neat and organized. That includes the back of the room promotional table which needs to be free of all clutter including water bottles and coffee cups. From a female perspective, your entire event needs to be clean, organized and super inviting!
# 3 – It is helpful to provide some factual information when presenting, however most women are more concerned with how you are going to solve their problems than statistic based information. As a speaker, you are in the problem solving business. That is what women want (and men do too)! A great way to showcase how you solve problems is to have live testimonials at your event focused on how you solved one of their biggest challenges and how you helped others just like them get results. Testimonials speak to the heart, which is where many female decisions are made.
Whether your audience is filled with a thousand, a hundred or just a couple of women; remember that you must showcase your talents, skills and information in a way that women can connect with you and your message.
