When speaking to an audience, we can never assume. I have seen way too many speakers use confusing business lingo, talk way to fast and bumble and stumble over their words when talking to an audience or a potential client. If the presentation is unclear, your audience will leave uninspired, unmotivated and totally unhappy!

4 Super Ways to Avoid the Dreaded Communication Breakdown

To ensure that we are always clear in our communication:

# 1 Repeat what you are saying in several unique ways.

People hear and experience things on very different levels. We can never assume it was crystal clear to them.

# 2 Always ask questions

Ask questions to access if they are truly understanding the information or just nodding their heads.

# 3 Ask questions that result in full sentence responses.

If they are fully understanding your message they should be able to respond quickly and easily answer your questions.

# 4 Look out for puzzled faces.

That is a great barometer to tell if you are effectively communicating your message. If they getting your message all eyes should be on you.

Remember this, most of our prospective clients, audiences and clients don’t want to look foolish so they don’t ask questions to clarify or confirm what they just heard and/or learned. It is your job to ensure that they are clear.

Abundant Blessings!
