If you have watched reality TV lately or have even seen a Bravo “Real Housewives” promotional commercial, you will notice an unpleasant theme. On many of these shows women are often portrayed as spiteful, conceited, argumentative, revengeful and down right mean. If you have heard some of the post show interviews, the women often feel that they were set up by producers to explode and act out. Ultimately, they do have to take responsibility for their actions and for choosing to be on one of these shows.
I am not so much concerned about those individuals. I more concerned about how women are being perceived in society as back stabbing bitches who will do anything to take another woman down.
Here is the REAL DEAL! What you see on TV is not the real truth about women. It is not how most women act. It is a false picture to drive up reality television ratings. It is time for women take a stand for who they really are and how we really act.
I feel like Reality TV shows are based on the actions of women so far from the truth. In Real Reality, women are not this way. At least the type of women I surround myself with.
The real women that are my friends and family members are the total opposite of what you see on TV. I feel like they represent the “Real Reality of Women” today!
When you surround yourself with amazing and incredible women you will find that they:
* Have a Huge Heart and would do anything for their friends and family that they love.
* Care so much about others that they have been known to put those they love first.
* Want to see other women succeed and celebrate in their successes even when things aren’t great in their own lives.
* Believe in other women’s dreams and are always there to remind them what is possible for them to create in their lives.
* Are inspired by other women who are committed to following their passions and getting out of their comfort zones so much so they follow in their foot steps.
* Believe that just like them, other women are beautiful creatures on the inside and outside no matter what age they are and what they look like.
* Would drop everything they are doing to help a dear friend or family member who was in need, even if it meant a potential financial loss or personal hardship.
This is my “Real Reality of Women”. This is what I experience in my life. This is what I hold dearly and believe to be true about women.
If you believe that too, let’s take a stand and stop watching those types of reality television programs that degrade and devalue the power, passion and purpose of women. Let’s take a stand and band together, rather than tear each other down. If you make a commitment to doing so, you are not only doing this for the women of today. You are doing it for the daughters, nieces and granddaughters that are the “Real Reality of Women” of the future.
If you agree with me that it is time to honor women and see the real truth, post your comments below and share in the real amazing and glorious power of women. Take a stand for women and share it with your friends and family members too.
