Whether you’re new to speaking or you’re a seasoned speaking pro, there comes a moment in every presentation where you have to deliver your call to action. For some it may be another opportunity to inspire your audience and/or for others it can include making an offer to invest in your programs, products and/or services that leads to huge pay days for you as a speaker and a business owner.

Since speaking is one of the best ways to grow your business quickly and easily while you reach a wider audience, it’s super important that you learn how to handle those common call to action challenges that can tank your presentation offer super fast.

The few minutes it takes to read this article can absolutely help you confidently create more clients and income from your first or your next speaking gig.

And while you may think that lacking confidence really won’t impact your presentation results, trust me, it absolutely will.  If you aren’t confident when you make your offer, your audience will lack confidence in you too!

How to Confidently Make an Offer from the Stage

Tip #1 – Make the Right Offer to the Right Audience

Imagine trying to offer a Caribbean Beach Vacation to a group of Penguins.  Talk about lackluster results.   Before you create your offer, you have to get a handle on who is in your audience and what would be super enticing to them.  Remember, you want to be the solution(s) to the problem(s) your audience wants solved and your offer needs to reflect that.

Here is a SUPER WAY to help you.  Brainstorm the many different ways your audience may be dealing with a challenge that you can specifically help them with.  Number those challenges based on how important they are to them and how motivated they would be to get them solved.  Pick the top items and then create your offer showcasing how YOU are their solution to their biggest problems!

Tip # 2 – Help Your Audience See Your Value from the Start

If you have a tendency to play small and are doubting your expert abilities, your audience will immediately sense your lack of confidence.  So what do you do now?  You have to be willing to toot your own horn a little bit.  This is different from appearing too conceited and arrogant.

You have to be willing to share with your audience why you are the right person to help them.  Your audience won’t know why they need you unless you are willing to tell them.  Throughout your presentation you want to find subtle and heartfelt ways to talk about why you are the expert in your field and why you have exactly what they need.

Tip # 3 – Base Your Offer on How Much Presentation Time You Have

From the moment you start speaking, your audience is assessing you and your abilities.  The more time you have with an audience, the greater the opportunity you have to build a strong emotional connection with them and the more likely they are to purchase from you.

You want to avoid the mistake of offering a program, product or service that is a big financial commitment when they only have a short period of time to get to know you.  Create the financial investment side of your offer based on the amount of time you have with the audience.  The more time you have with them equals a deeper connection with you, which ultimately equals a greater opportunity to offer a HIGHER TICKET program, product or service.

Remember, the energy you put into creating and delivering your closing matters. You want to showcase your passion for helping people. This way, you’ll feel confident as you move into your offer and your participants will happily invest in you and your programs, products and services.

Abundant Blessings!
