Like many individuals today, eleven years ago I was in a job that I didn’t love. I wanted my heart to be in it. I really did. No matter how hard I tried, it truly felt like a paycheck. I can see now that it was an essential part of my journey 11 years ago. I am clear that fate stepped in and got me moving in the right direction. It was where I discovered my true love and passion for public speaking.
Today as a Public Speaking Expert and Trainer, I meet many individuals that want to step into the world of professional speaking. They just don’t know where to start when it comes to their message.
Take the First Step to Becoming a Public Speaker
You have to take the first step, even if you aren’t sure what your message is. When you take a step, you are in action. When you are in action, you will be guided to the right next step. That is what happened to me.
In 2004 when I started my own company my focus was on teaching others how to discover what they would love to do because I had found it. I loved public speaking. Within a few months, my inner guidance woke me up in the middle of the night and said “You can teach others to discover what they love to do, however if they aren’t able to communicate it clearly and powerfully, they would never have the success they desired.” Wow! That literally woke me up to the fact that my calling is to teach others how to deliver their message clearly, concisely and powerfully. I found my true passion and purpose. I have never looked back.

Be open to the journey. Stop trying to figure it all out. Take a step in the right direction and watch the doors open wide.
