Webinar Mistake # 1
We never learned anything about Bob’s passion and why he was holding this webinar in the first place. We got all his credentials, but besides that, he didn’t share anything that allowed us to connect emotionally. He never built the know, like and trust factor — which always leads to more client registrations.
Webinar Mistake # 2
Bob did the “Data Dump!” He dumped so much information on us that he didn’t leave us wanting more. A fatal mistake that happens on in-person and virtual stages! This mistake alone will absolutely impact how many people will move forward with his offer. As a result, his sales conversion numbers would be very low and maybe even zero.
Webinar Mistake # 3
Bob’s last challenge was that his offer didn’t connect well to his presentation topic, which means that the webinar is the first step, and the offer should appear to be a seamless next step. It should be a no-brainer that says to the audience, “Now that you did this, you need to do this next.” Sadly, for Bob, the connection wasn’t there, which means he isn’t going to create the number of clients he wanted from his webinar.
Bob isn’t alone. I have seen the same costly mistakes over and over again on webinars and during in-person presentations.
It sounds so easy to create a webinar and sell your programs, but without the right information guiding you on what to do and when to do it, having a long list of people ready and willing to hire you isn’t going to happen.
